This year (2026), I am participating in the KM Mentoring Program. The program is is a collaboration between the KM4Dev and SIKM Leaders communities.
I have 2 mentees. One is based in Peru and the other in the US (Iowa) so timings are interesting. We have met a couple of times each so far.

And despite being from different backgrounds, the things we are talking about are very similar for both mentees.
Career clarity in KM: Map 2–3 viable career paths within Knowledge Management and identify the skills, certifications, and experiences needed to pursue my preferred direction, especially in a global and AI-influenced context.
Practical KM tools and frameworks: Gain working knowledge of 3–4 KM tools or methodologies that drive organizational impact today — including AI-enabled practices — and understand how to apply them effectively.
Strategies for building KM culture: Develop a toolkit of evidence-based strategies to address resistance to change and foster knowledge-sharing within organizations, drawing on lessons from KM program transformations.

So far we have chatted about:
- The International Standard for KM Systems – ISO30401:2018
- Interesting resources
- Communities of Practice
- Governance of KM
- Gamification
- Rewards & Recognition, and of course,
- AI
So it’s time I started collating some of this content and thoughts and add them to this site.
